Chris Burnham at C2E2 2017

Chris Burnham might be best known for his work on Batman Incorporated, but he has also done work for DC Comics, Marvel, Image and several others.  He is the #1 New York Times Bestselling Artist of Batman Incorporated and the rest of his resume is equally impressive.
Chris and Joe Casey wrote Officer Downe, a comic about a deceased police officer brought back to continue his fight against crime.  Officer Downe was made into a film in 2016.Along Another project of his, Nameless, also included writer Grant Morrison and artist Nathan Fairbairn.  An occult Hustler, futuristic billionaires, a mysterious asteroid, the lost fifth planet and other real and fantasy-world objects all come together in this fascinating graphic novel.  It's a unique story, filled with beautiful artwork.
Chris is one of the most popular and friendliest guests at comic cons, but he always has time to talk to us.  Our first fun interview with Chris can be found at On the Beat With Chris Burnham.
You can keep up with all things Burnham, by following TheBurnham on twitter and Chris Burnham on Facebook.  You can also find his work on the Chris Burnham page on Amazon.

Could Chris Burnham Save Aquaman?

I remember drawing comics when I was a kid.  I know most of my friends did, too.  We all dreamed of becoming comic book creators, but illustrator Chris Burnham is living that dream.
Perhaps best known for his work on Batman Incorporated, Burnham already has a lengthy resume at an early age.  He has done interior and cover work for such companies as Marvel, DC and many others.  The man is massively talented.  He was also massively popular at the conventions when I saw him.
I admit, I tried wooing him over to the aquatic side.  Maybe Aquaman could gain some momentum with a creative force like Burnham working on it.  I think Burnham is a bit too busy, but if he wanted a real challenge, restoring Aquaman to its former glory would be a great addition to his resume.
I really appreciate Burnham talking to us.  Despite the long line of his fans and the many demands on his time, he took some of his valuable time and gave us a fun interview.
My interview with him can be found at On the Beat with Chris Burnham at Wizard World.

On the Beat with Chris Burnham at Wizard World 2013

Chris Burnham is a comic book artist best known for his work on Batman Incorporated, as well as books such as Officer Downe and Nixon's Pals.  He is a talented young artist and JohngysBeat.com interviewed him at C2E2 and decided we needed to speak to him again at Wizard World.  His resume is lengthy and impressive; so we felt we needed to get him now before he gets too big (could he ever forget JohngysBeat.com?).
Burnham gave us an update on his recent projects, which were mostly focused on Batman.  He also came just short of giving us a scoop on some mysterious future project.  If it is indeed "bigger and better," we will certainly want to know about it.
Burnham is a good guy and if possible, I am sure he will give us more information and maybe even a scoop at some future convention.  Until then, I suggest following Chris Burnham on twitter to keep up with his work.

On the Beat with Chris Burnham at C2E2 2013

I know, when my friends read this, they will be shocked that I am featuring a comic other than Aquaman.  While my love for all things Aquaman is widely known, you should know I would not pass up talking to a talented comic artist, no matter which superhero is his subject matter.
Such is the case with Chris Burnham, best known for his awesome work for Batman Incorporated.  Mark Beatty, of Dark Tower Comics in Chicago, introduced Scott and me to the talented Burnham at C2E2.
I really liked Burnham.  He doesn't take himself too seriously, although he takes his job seriously.  He admits it is a thrill to draw for Batman.  You can quickly tell he is having fun.
I imagine it would be like me writing for Aquaman.  Oh sure, it still involves the process of work, but what a blast it would be.
Burnham was one of the most popular guests in Artist Alley and deservedly so.  The guy is talented, personable and drawing for one of the most famous superheroes.  He is definitely an artist we would like to revisit in the future.
Once again, JohngysBeat.com's Scott Beatty (lead interviewer, all around big shot, music historian and comics master) took the interview lead.  I just wish he asked one Aquaman question.
