Carl Yastrzemski signed by the Boston Red Sox as an amateur free agent.in 1958 and made his MLB debut in 1961. After 22 seasons all with the Red Sox, Yaz retired in 1983, before being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1989. All told, Yaz played 3,308 games, compiling aa .285 batting average with 3,419 hits, 452 HRs, 1,844 RBIs and 1,816 runs scored.
For his efforts, Topps gave Yaz cards in every set from 1962-1983, leaving out his career-capper card. As I have previously written, all players, especially HOFers, should have a card after their final season. Once again though, Gio of When Topps Had (Base)Balls beat me to this creation. Knowing I can't improve on his creation, I featured his, instead of trying one myself. I also encourage everyone to check his site for hundreds (thousands) of other creations.
