A Word With Tony Pena

On our recent excursion to CitiField in NY, Louie and I were on the field talking to players and coaches for online pieces for Global Traveler magazine. One of our successes was Yankees coach and former catcher Tony Pena.
We asked Pena about his favorite city to visit as a player and coach. He surprised us by naming Chicago. Pena also played in Chicago, briefly near the end of his lengthy career.
Then we asked about a Yankees farmhand, George Kontos. Kontos is a local kid from Louie's high school. Kontos, who pi
tched at AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2009, is recovering from an arm injury. Pena did not know anything specific, but it was worth a shot.
Thanks to Pena for taking a moment to speak with us. We always appreciate the time and consideration.
