On the Beat with Gregg Hurwitz-Part 1

I first experienced Gregg Hurwitz when I read his book The Tower many years ago.  The Tower is about a psychopath inmate at the Tower (a maximum security prison) who escapes and is chased by an ex-FBI Profiler.  The story engaged me completely as the two shared an intense battle.  I didn't want the book to end.  I then set out to read more of his work and to learn about him.
Over the next ten or so years, I have read most of Hurwitz's books and have enjoyed them all.  I eagerly read along as Tim Rackley, a Deputy U.S. Marshall was introduced and developed through four books.  I was fascinated by the first hand account in Crime Writer, a novel about a novelist who must unfold a mystery which left him hospitalized, with no memory, after being found over his ex-fiancee's bloody body.
Perhaps my favorite has been They're Watching, about a man who discovers he is being watched and recorded.  He sets out to solve the mystery and straighten out his life.  This book is so full of intrigue, I absolutely couldn't put it down.
In addition to his best-selling novels, Hurwitz has also written for movies and is a Consulting Producer for the tv series V.  He also has worked on Marvels Comics such as Wolverine and the Punisher.
When I heard that Hurwitz would be appearing at Wizard World, I contacted him and asked for an interview.  I would have begged, but fortunately he agreed quite pleasantly.  We discussed his books, his career and his future projects.
Part one (of three) of my interview with Gregg Hurwitz is below.  I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed talking to him.  After watching, be sure to go to GreggHurwitz.net to learn more about this best-selling author.

I love his books. My favorite was The Tower, but I have loved them all. He seems so nice, too.
