Celebrity Jersey Cards #112 Nick Lachey & Paul Rudd

This is a regular series which attempts to combine my passion for trading cards with my interest in celebrities.  Today I am featuring celebrities representing the opponents of the Cubs and White Sox this weekend.

The Cincinnati Reds are in 1st place and are facing the 5th place Cubs.  The only reason the Cubs are not in last is that the Astros are on pace for an historically bad season.  Lachey grew up in the Cincinnati area and has remained true to his roots.  I am assuming his #4v jersey is for Brandon Phillips, even though he looks more like a pitcher.  Such is the world of Celebrity Jersey Cards.

On the other end of the spectrum, the 1st place White Sox are facing the Kansas City Royals who are battling the Twins for last place.  Paul Rudd was born in New Jersey, but moved to the Kansas City area as a youth.  He returned to KC for a celebrity wiffle ball charity game.  Despite the fact it looks like he is attempting to field an infield grounder, I am guessing his #34 is for Paul Splittorff, one of the greatest Royals of all time.In any case, Rudd gets extra points for also wearing the KC cap.

Never a fan of the 95 design - You got the 93 design down perfectly - Rudd is very underrated.
