Friendly Encounters: Chris Meets Sheamus

This is a weekly series featuring friends who have met celebrities.

Today I am featuring a fellow blogger, William, the master of Foul Bunt, an interesting blog about baseball card collecting, autograph collecting and other baseball-related fun stuff.  I am a relative new fan of this site, but I am catching up with his older posts (and you should, too).  I was back in his archives, when I came across a post in May which caught my eye.
William's son Christopher got to meet his favorite wrestler Sheamus.  There is so much coolness in this story.  Just on the surface, you have the joy of a youngster meeting one of his favorites.  I have met a ton of celebs, but I get excited now when I get to help my nephew meet his favorites.
Making it even better was that Sheamus was a really nice guy and treated Chris very well.  I know this shouldn't be a surprise, but too often these signings are rushed and impersonal.  Kudos to Sheamus and the organizers.
Another nice layer of the story involves Sheamus being nervous about signing a baseball.  Sheamus cares.  He wanted to make it a great experience.
These are just the highlights as I saw them.   You can read the whole story and see more pictures by going to "Meeting WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus" on Foul Bunt.  While you are there, roam around the rest of his site and I am sure you will be as entertained as I always am.
This story is just such a feel-good story.  This is everything that is right with autograph collecting.  I appreciate William and Chris sharing it here.

Thanks for the plug and the post. I appreciate it. Chris enjoyed meeting Sheamus and still talks about it, almost 6 months later.
