On the Beat with Curtis Oddo at Wizard World 2012

Our first interview at Wizard World 2012 was with author Curtis Oddo.  To be honest, it was his Blackhawks jersey that originally caught our eye.  You don't usually see authors wearing sports jerseys at conventions, but we loved it.
You can get a pretty good bio of Curtis at CrimsonBattleAxe.wordpress.com.  He had an interesting path to becoming an author.  The bio also reveals a little about the process from the idea of writing a book to the actual finished product.
His book, The Crimson Battle Axe, is a "sword and sorcery" story.  It is definitely a fantasy novel, but there are real-life situations and choices contained in it.  I have not read the book yet, but I am intrigued by the reviews and synopsis I have read.
The Crimson Battle Axe is the story of  Gnarl's action packed journey to defeat the Evil Death Lord Nobis.  It's not just "good versus evil" fantasy, although there is plenty of that.  It also shows the mirror battles of love versus apathy, forgiveness versus bitterness and much more.
Literally topping it off is the cover art of Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell, well-known fantasy artists..  The artwork is beautiful and eye-catching (much like the Hawks jersey!).
After you watch the interview below, head over to CrimsonBattleAxe.wordpress.com for more information on Oddo and his book and for updates.
