On the Beat with Kelsi Jones of the Chicago Bandits 2015

Today, the Johngy's Beat and Justin's World of Softball joint coverage of the 2015 Chicago Bandits features rookie outfielder Kelsi Jones.  We had a minor lighting issue midway through our interview, but Kelsi was unfazed, like a real pro!
Kelsi transferred to Louisville, where she played her final two seasons of collegiate softball.  In 2014, she started every game in the outfield and lead the team in home runs and stolen bases.  With an impressive resume like that, Kelsi is a welcome addition to the Bandits.
In the interview, we talked about her path to the Bandits, which included earning a roster spot via a tryout.  We also talked about her early years in rhythmic gymnastics.and her goal of working in the NFL.
Despite being a rookie, Kelsi has already made an impact.  As of this writing, she has 2 rbi's in her 8 at bats.  I am sure those runs are just the first two of many more to come for this talented young athlete.
It will be fun watching as her career progresses.  You can follow along here and on ChicagoBandits.com for more info and updates.  Check out the Bandits in person or on television or YouTube.  They always play hard and it is always a great time.
