Jeff Balke at Wizard World Chicago 2015

At Wizard World Chicago 2015, I met comic artist Jeff Balke.  Aside from doing illustrations for comics and starting his own comics, Balke has created something unique with his "sketch coloring."
Basically, Balke will take anything black and white and color it up using special markers.  This creates a one-of-a-kind piece.  No two sketch colorings will ever be the same.  Balke said it was born out of his desire to give something special to the fans.
In reality, he has been giving special things to fans for years now.  He credits meeting Stan Lee at Wizard World when he was in high school for inspiring his career path.  Since then, he has been drawing and/or coloring comics and sketches to the delight of his fans.
Check out Balke's work on JBalkesArt.com.  If he is appearing at a comic con near you, don't miss out on stopping at his booth.  It is full of beautiful art.  Balke is very approachable and fan-friendly, too!
