Ryan Hartman scored the tying goal and assisted on the final goal as the Rockford Icehogs defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 4-2 last Sunday. It was a Valentine's Day battle between Central Division foes.
In the post-game media session, Hartman discussed the slow first period, the divisional series against the Griffins, the power play and more. The last question was mine and concerned playing the Griffins three times in nine days.
The IceHogs have clinched a playoff spot, but are still in a tight race for playoff positioning in the Midwest Division and the Western Conference. There are still plenty of hockey games lest (almost two months worth) and plenty of fun to be had!
