Back on the Beat with the Chicago Bandits, we interviewed Kellsi Kloss. The rookie catcher comes to the Bandits from Louisiana State University.
While at LSU, Kellsi's team reached the Women's College World Series twice. Her appreciation of that achievement is evident in the interview below. Kellsi was a 2015 First Team All-Southeastern Conference member ans a 2013 All-SEC Freshman Team member. Her durability also showed with her playing all 66 games in the 2015 season.
Kellsi was drafted 17th overall by the Bandits in the 2016 NPF draft. She is one of three talented catchers on the Bandits, making playing time a battle. Kelsi discussed this and her attitude didn't surprise me, but it is always refreshing to hear an athlete talk so respectfully about her position on the team.
Because of their maturity, I sometimes forget how young these athletes are. Kellsi's genuine excitement for playing in the NPF is evident in her answers. Obviously, she would like to play more, but she accepts the status now. She is another example of the quality of player and person who the Bandits bring into their organization.
