RAK at Wizard World Chicago 2017

Wizard World Chicago 2018 runs through Sunday, August 26. I am recalling some of the interesting people I have met there.
Robert A. Kraus is one of the first artists I ever met. Over the years, RAK and I became friends (as in, I bug him at every Wizard World).
RAK is the creator of SuperFreeks, an unusual take on pop culture figures. Of course, the first one I sought (and bought) was his Aquaman.
As I have mentioned a few (thousand) times, Aquaman is the most neglected superhero. Too often, even artists omit him from their lineup. When I find an artist who created an Aquaman, that artist immediately becomes a favorite.
It's not just his Aquaman though. RAK has created hundreds of SuperFreeks. He's ventured into music, sports, wrestling, movies and other negres. They are all spectacularly twisted.
Every year at Wizard World, I always ask him about my other favorites, like Billy Joel. This year, I will ask about Haley Reinhart. I'm sure RAK gets hundreds of suggestions and he is very patient with everyone. He can't do them all on the cards, but he is always open to commissions.
Check out all of his work at RAKGraphics.com. Also, head to WizardWorld.com for all of the info on every show.
