On the Beat With Roosevelt University Softball Coach Aaron Moore

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of soaking in some softball action in the Dome at Roosevelt courtesy of Roosevelt University softball coach Aaron Moore. It gave me a chance to catch up with Aaron, who I knew from his time as the General Manger of the Chicago Bandits.
During his time with the Bandits, Aaron oversaw a team that won 3 National Pro Fastpitch titles. Aaron had a great eye for talent, whether drafting a player r signing a free agent. On a personal level, I always appreciated Aaron for his time and consideration while I covered the team.
When the ownership changed, Aaron left the Bandits and found a new home at Roosevelt University. Aaron brought his resume of success with him. He has more than 450 coaching wins at various levels. After guiding the Lakers to 2 double digit win seasons, Aaron enters his this season looking for more success.
Midday Friday, I sat down with Aaron and asked him about his time with the Bandits, recruiting at Roosevelt, winning versus teaching and a lot more. His passion for the sport is palpable and impressive. I love talking softball with him and could have gone another hour or more, but he did have some coaching to do.
After watching the interview, head over to RooseveltLakers.com to learn more about the team and the university. Also, check out their schedule and get out to a game. The Ballpark in Rosemont is a great place to watch softball. Come out and cheer the black and green. Go Lakers!
Thank you to Roosevelt University and Coach Moore for the hospitality, time and consideration. I look forward to catching up with the Lakers during the season.
