Kurt Dinse at Days of the Dead Chicago 2017

Days of the Dead is coming to Rosemont November 22-24. Once again, I will be "On the Beat" there, but for now I am recalling some of my fun moments over the years there.
Kurt Dinse is one of the first artists I ever met at Days of the Dead. A cartoonist and illustrator, Kurt's horrific takes on sports stuff originally caught my eye, but he does much more than just sports-related creations.
In a room full of talented vendors selling very cool creations, it is difficult to stand out, but Kurt does. Whether it is Kurt's take on a pop culture subject or an original drawing of something creepy and spooky, the finished product is fascinating. I have been known to spend several minutes letting my eyes gaze on his awesome art at his booth at DotD.
It is also fun catching up with Kurt. He's a great guy and always willing to give me an update on his latest projects. My first interview with him is at On the Beat With Kurt Dinse.
Check out PungentBasementArt.com for all of the info on Kurt, including many samples of his artwork. You can also follow Kurt at @PungentBasement on twitter for more frequent updates.
