Altia Anderson and the Marquette Golden Eagles

As previously seen several times here, DePaul beat Marquette in the Big East Women's Basketball Tournament. It was the last time I will see Marquette senior forward Altia Anderson play in person.
I first met Altia last year at Marquette Media Day. Entering her third year at Marquette, she would put up career highs in several categories. Unfortunately for Altia, Marquette lost to DePaul in the Big East last season.
Marquette and Altia came back strong this season. Altia once again set career highs in several categories. Unfortunately for Altia, Marquette once again lost to DePaul in the Big East championship game.
Three straight such losses has to be tough, but Altia and Marquette need not hang their heads. They played tough and should be proud of all they accomplished. Losses are always a disappointment, but viewing the bigger picture, all three seasons were successful for Marquette and Altia.
In her four seasons with the Golden Eagles, Altia averaged more than 25 games, proving her durability. She shot about 50%, while contributing with assists and rebounds. Most importantly, Altia has been a great leader.
It has been a pleasure covering Altia during her time with Marquette. I appreciate her time and I wish her luck in her future endeavors.
