Dana DeLorenzo at Flashback Weekend 2018

Flashback Weekend returns August 5-7. This year it will be a special 20th anniversary event and I can't wait.
Flashback Weekend isn't as big as some other conventions, but it is one of the best. It always has excellent guests, such as Dana DeLorenzo, one of my all-time favorites.
I have been a fan of Dana for a long time. Dana has a strong Chicago connection. She was in Tony n' Tina's Wedding and also worked as a producer and portrayed Marissa Sanchez on  Mancow's Morning Madhouse. She gained a lot of exposure on the Starz horror-comedy series Ash vs Evil Dead.
I had met Dana a year or so before I saw her again at Flashback Weekend in 2018. I was stunned when she asked about our last meeting. That led to a lot of quick chats all weekend at Flashback every time our paths crossed.
Early Sunday morning when things were pretty quiet, Dana called me over and asked if I wanted to have a little fun in a picture. Of course, I am always up for that, especially with Dana. She grabbed a tie and wrapped it around my neck, and proceeded to "choke" me. It was fun and Dana got a big kick out of it. After posing for hundreds of the same pictures, I think she wanted to do something different.
Dana is simply cool. I will see her every chance I get at conventions, because she is so much fun. She makes it a special experience every time.
I did inform Dana that we had something in common. We are both DePaul alums, although she was born shortly before I entered DePaul. Still, if she ever needs a date for an alumni function, I am putting my name out there. I would escort Dana anywhere!
