New York Comic Con is less than a month away. As always, I will be spending a lot of time "On the Beat" in Artist Alley. One of my favorite creators is K Lynn Smith.
The Michigan native is a write, artist and all-around cool person. Even her "logo" or self-caricature is cool. It is definitely her!
She is one of a handful of artists who lent their talents to produce a version of the Johngy character for me. It now hangs in my "Johngy art" corner of my condo.
I have interviewed her a few times, the last being at C2E2 2021, but I saw her after that at NYCC. Our last interview is at On the Beat With K Lynn Smith.
One of her latest endeavors is Call Itta Draw, an improvisational drawing show on social media. K Lynn joins Jay P. Fosgitt, Dan Dougherty, Seth Damoose and DJ Corchin in a fun, creatie, fascinating show. Part humor, part art, it is regular viewing for me and I am always entertained.
