Michael Berryman at Flashback Weekend

I always admired the work and life of Michael Berryman. A few years ago, I finally got to meet him thanks to the fine folks at Flashback Weekend.
Berryman was born with hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, a rare condition characterized by the absence of sweat glands, hair, and fingernails; He did not  let that stop him from carving out an excellent career in the entertainment industry.
His resume is lengthy, including One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, but it was his time filming The Hills Have Eyes that caused many issues. While filming in the desert, the intense heat caused major issues for Berryman, because of his lack of sweat glands. Special precautions and procedures were taken to ensure his well-being and Berryman endured all to complete filming. That is dedication!
At Flashback Weekend, Berryman couldn't have been nicer. I expressed my admiration for him (as many fans did) and he seemed genuinely touched by the love from fans.
Flashback Weekend returns tomorrow with a packed list of celebrities. I'll be "On the Beat" and reporting here and on GlobalTravelerUSA.com.
