Mascot Week celebrates the furry creatures who provide extra fun t sports games and other events.
Ozzie T. Cougar is one of the mascots for the Kane County Cougars. Debuting in 1991, Ozzie has been with the team since it debuted in the Midwest League. In 2021, the Cougars moved to the American Association of Professional Baseball and Ozzie moved with them, of course.
In 2016, Ozzie's sister Annie joined him with the team. Since then, the cougar pair has delighted fans of the team. Ozzie was happy his younger sister joined him after getting her education and doing some traveling.
With 32 years of service, Ozzie has to be among the most tenured mascots. Sometimes, he gets overshadowed by the team's anniversaries though, but true mascot aficionados love hand respect him.
