William Hudnut III was the 54th mayor of Indianapolis from 1976 to 1992. With four terms served, he was the city's longest-serving mayor. statue

Created by artists Jeff Varilla and Ana Koh Varilla of Koh-Varilla Guild of Chicago, it is owned by the Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board. Although it is life-size, Hudnutt joked that it was bigger than him.
I came across the statue of Hudnut while at a convention in Indy. I thought it was cool because it was built with a bench. (No, I did not sit next to it to start a conversation.)
