Just two weeks away, the Square Circle Expo II is fast approaching. SCX II takes over the Wyndham Indianapolis April 15-16 and I cannot wait.
As I have written many times, SCX 2021 was a fantastic event. It was the best debut convention and one of the best overall I have ever seen. From the first online communication to the end of Saturday night, the staff worked tirelessly to make it a fun, organized event. Things could not have been any smoother, especially since it was during a rough patch in the pandemic.
One of the wrestlers I met for the first time there was Billie Starkz. The blue-haired youngster is only 17, but already has a few years experience on her resume. She started training at 14 and has quickly become one of the best young wrestlers. She has held the Girl Fight Wrestling and the Party Hard Wrestling Party Monster titles once each. More championships are sure to follow.
In a room full of wrestling stars and legends, Billie stood out and not just because of her blue hair. She is a ball of energy. Her passion for the sport is palpable. I imagine she was picking the brains of the wrestling veterans, when she wasn't greeting her many fans.
