Musicians Rod Guico and Katie Somers make up Simply Sound. They are a versatile act, capable of entertaining live crowds at festivals, shows, restaurants, weddings and more.
Simply Sound performs a variety of songs, including hits from today and the past few decades. They play everything from soulful ballads to upbeat dance tunes. I love their harmonies, but their unique mash-ups are fun, too. They have a lot of fun on stage and make it enjoyable for the audience.
I had the pleasure of hearing and meeting them in 2021, when they performed at Moretti's near me. Prior to their performance, I met Katie. As I usually do, I got there so early, Rod wasn't even there yet. Poor Katie, she had to deal with me solo for a few minutes before Rod appeared. I chatted to both briefly and took pictures, before letting them get prepared for their performance.
It was my first time seeing them and I really enjoyed them. I haven't seen them since, but I follow them and hope to see them soon.
