Celebrity Jersey Cards #649 T. J. Watt & Bruce Tanner

Celebrity Jersey Cards is a weekly series in which I create virtual trading cards for celebrities wearing sports jerseys. Today, I continue my season-long alphabetical journey through all Major League Baseball teams.

A native of Pewaukee, WI, Trent Jordan Watt starred at the University of Wisconsin. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected him in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft. The brother of J.J. and Derek Watt has gone on to a stellar career. Havig a set of three brothers in the NFL is quite a rare accomplishment. He also proved he was solid on the diamond when he threw a ceremonial pitch for the Pittsburgh Pirates to get his Celebrity Jersey Card.

Born in New Castle, PA, Bruce Tanner is the son of former player and manager Chuck Tanner. The elder Tanner managed my White Sox as I was growing up. He was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 33rd round of the 1980 MLB draft. He pitched several years in the White Sox and A's organizations,, making it to the majors with the Sox in 1985. He went 1-2 in his career. After retiring, he went on to become a coach and a scout. Tanner threw out a ceremonial pitch for his home state Pirates and earned his Celebrity Jersey Card.
