Craniosynostosis, Jorge Posada Jr. and Me

I'm a tad late with this post. September is Craniosynostosis Awareness Month.
Craniosynostosis is a condition where the sutures in a baby's skull are fused. This means built-up pressure and no space for the brain and bones to grow. It's a condition I have.
A few years back, I learned New York Yankees legend Jorge Posada's son Jorge Jr. was born with the same condition. Since then, Jorge and Laura wrote The Beauty of Love, a book about the family's journey. It is an amazing book, which I read yearly. Once I read it, it was my goal to interview either Posada.
While that interview never happened, I saw Jorge Jr. was involved in a college movie project. I jumped on the opportunity to go for an interview with him about that, craniosynostosis and travel for Global Traveler. That interview is at Talking Travel with Jorge Posada.
That interview meant a lot to me. I had never talked to anyone else with this condition. Jorge was very engaging, fun, thoughtful and everything I would want in an interview guest. I have shared this with other craniosynostosis survivors on varios social media pages.
I thank and appreciate Jorge for his time and consideration. It helped me and I hope it helps others.
