How does this happen? My partner on The Johngy "OR ELSE" Podcast interviewed actress Lia Montelongo on a different podcast and didn't tell me? I'm not made he interviewed her elsewhere, because I do it, too. I just wish I would have known.
I found out after meeting Tommy for lunch at Alfie's in Glen Ellyn. It had been a while since we caught up in person and we planned on going to see her at an appearance at our friend Joseph White's Whitney Collectibles store in Glen Ellyn.
After lunch, we made the quick drive and caught up with Joseph while we waited for Montelongo. Upon her arrival, she greeted Tommy with a big hug. We let the crowd go first, before we made our way to the signing area. Lia was as nice as could be and we got the picture.
I will admit, she threw me off a bot when she said we should do the Mortal Kombat pose. Sheepishly, I said I didn't know what that was. I wasn't a big Mortal Kombat fan.
