Cards That Never Were: Larry Cipa Topps 1976

Cards That Never Were is a recurring series in which I create virtual trading cards for players missed in various sets. It is a concept I have borrowed from far too many to list, but I appreciate all of their efforts. More of my creations and many great creations of others can be found in the Custom Baseball Cards Facebook group (and not just baseball cards).
After playing college ball at Michigan, QB Larry Cipa was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the 15th round of the 1974 NFL draft. Cipa played for two seasons, seeing action in eight games. He threw 92 passes, completing 34, with one TD and 3 interceptions.
Topps gave Cipa a card in the 1975 set, which was a bit surprising considering Archie Manning and Bobby Scott also had cards in '75. Three QB cards on one team is rare. Cipa did not recive a card in 1976 though. I filled that void, by making a '76 "career capper" card for Cipa.

Thanks. I never knew that. I wonder if there is a pic of him in a TB jersey somewhere.
