Alloy Ash at Motor City Comic Con 2013

The Motor City Comic Con, May 17-19 is quickly approaching. As I count the days, I look back on some of my favorite moments from previous years at MCCC.

Alloy Ash is a model and a welder. That's an odd combination, but she has found success in both fields. She was a Michigan state champion welder.

When I learned of her unique resume, I asked for an interview at MCCC. That interview can be found at On the Beat With Alloy Ash.

A native of Detroit, Alloy was a very popular guest at the MCCC. It is always funny when local celebrities appear at MCCC. Many area residents know her and greet her as a friend. To the rest of the attendees, she was a star. It is cool to see the difference in reactions, but Alloy was pretty much the same no matter who approached her. She was friendly and upbeat all weekend.

The MCCC always seems to have a couple celebrities from the area. It's a great idea to promote their own, yet still bring name value to the convention.

Alloy Ash at Motor City Comic Con 2016

Detroit-area native Alloy Ash loved attending Motor City Comic Con as a fan.  Little did she realize that just a few years later, she would be attending as one of the celebrity guests.

Ash is a model, television personality, comics lover, welder and more.  I'm not exactly sure how welder fits in with the rest of her resume, but she is a unique person and it works for her.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Ash at the MCCC 2013.  We talked about her tattoos, her modeling and her projects.  That interview can be found at On the Beat With Alloy Ash.

I can't believe it has been 4 years since I have seen her.  As a local success story, she was tremendously popular at MCCCC.  She still cleared a few minutes to talk to us and I always appreciate that, but she went above and beyond in our communication to set up the interview.

Ash was so very sweet and funny.  She's confident and poised, while having a quiet shyness.  You instantly like her.

It's good to see Ash succeeding.  She's appeared on a handful of television shows, while continuing to model for magazines, photo shoots and more.  She's still young and her career is only going to get better.

On the Beat with Alloy Ash at the Motor City Comic Con 2013

I immediately picked out Alloy Ash when I saw the list of guests for the 2013 Motor City Comic Con.  I have never interviewed a state welding champ.  Seriously, the beautiful Alloy Ash is a state welding champ.
She is also a very popular model.  Alloy has done a ton of cover work, as well as photo spreads, catalogue modeling and much more.  As I wrote, she is very much in demand!
In addition to being beautiful, Alloy is very professional.  She addresses several issues and is very clear on her working situations on her Model Mayhem page.
We talked about her career, her tattoos and more.  I asked about her first at and if she had any she regrets.  I always wonder about regrets.  I am not a tattoo guy, but I could possibly see getting a couple if I really knew what I wanted.  Nothing ever gripped me enough to want to permanently ink it on my body.
Alloy has many tattoos and was the perfect person to ask about regrets.  She answered quickly and honestly as you will see in the interview.
Times is limited at these cons and I appreciate Alloy taking time to talk to us.  I just have so many more questions for her.  I really hope to catch her again at a con in the future.
