Friend Encounters: Corey Crawford and Britt

Friend Encounters is a weekly series featuring friends meeting celebrities.

Today, I feature two Chicago-area legends. Corey Crawford was an outstanding goalie for the Blackhawks and Britt is an extremely popular model (and much more).

Crawford (aka Crow) played his entire career with the Blackhawks, helping them to win two Stanley Cup trophies. He also won the William M. Jennings trophy twice for fewest goals against in the regular season. Crow was definitely a fan favorite and one of the greatest goalies in the history of the Hawks, who have had some elite goalies.

Britt is a legit hockey fan. She can be seen at many Rockford IceHogs games. Britt is also a firefighter when she isn't modeling. I first met her during her days as a ring-girl in wrestling. She is one of the nicest people I have met. Despite her popularity, Britt is never too busy for a quick chat.

I have never met Crow, but I have seen Britt several times. The two met when the IceHogs had a celebration for Crow, who played for them in his minor leagye days. That's one game I wish I could have attended. Crow and Britt...it doesn't get much better.

Finally Met Britt

Britt Copano is another person I should have met years ago. Her resume includes modeling, acting, wrestling personality and more. She also is a firefighter. The lady is busy and quite visible on the Chicago scene. Yet somehow, I never had the pleasure of meeting her.

That finally changed in July at a sports card show. I saw Britt posted about her appearance there and I immediately made plans to be there. Also appearing were Doug Plank, Gary Fencik, Bobby Hull and more, but Britt was my main target. I did meet the others, too.

Britt was as sweet as could be. I previously had messaged her a few times about finally meeting her, but I didn't want to be creepy guy following her. She could not have been nicer though and she is even more beautiful in person,

I really want to interview Britt. She has such a great story. I know Britt is busy, but I am hoping some day, she will grant that interview. I waited several years to finally meet her. Maybe in a couple years, I will get that interview.
