At the Chicagoland Entertainment Collectors Expo

In September 2010, the Chicagoland Entertainment Collectors Expo celebrated it's 10th anniversary. Tomorrow, I will be at their second Chicago area show this year.  There are also 2 more shows planned for later this year (July and September).
I have made it to a few of the events and have had a great time at each one.
Paul Maiellaro and the CECE staff work hard to make each event special.  The goal is to have a hometown feel to a show which has appeal to all nonsport collectors.  Celebrities, artists and dealers are on hand to meet attendees.
The CECE is not the biggest collectors show, but it is one of the best.  It has a ton of unique items.  I also really like that I have been able to spend a nice amount of time with the celebs and artists.  This isn't about taking your money and pushing you along.  Each time, I felt like I was appreciated.
In the picture below, Paul presented an album of sketches, magazine covers and congratulation notes to Marlin and Roxanne Toser, Managing Editor and Publisher of NonSport Update magazine.  NSU is te best source for all info on nonsport trading cards.
