Bye Bye Chicago Express

I was surprised to learn that the Chicago Express, the Columbus Blue Jackets affiliate in the ECHL, has folded.  They had just finished their first season and I thought their fanbase was growing.
I have written several pieces on the Express.  The organization had been very friendly to the press and the fans.  They gave us an insider's look at the stadium and the team practice, including interviews with several members of the team.
I am saddened by the loss o the team.  I love hockey and looked forward to catching more games next season and watching the team grow.  I guess even the power of Johngy's Beat could not save the team.
