On the Beat with Billy Mumy at the 2012 MCCC

At a previous Motor City Comic Con, we met Mark Goddard of tv's Lost in Space.  Goddard was appearing with the famous robot.  It doesn't get much cooler than that.
Actually, at this year's MCCC, it did get cooler (no disrespect intended towards Goddard or the robot).  Not only did we meet Billy Mumy (Will Robinson), but we got to interview him, too!
Mumy has had a long and successful acting career, but he also branched out to writing, producing, voice-over work and into a musical career.  His latest musical endeavor is "Until the Big Bang Whimpers", which can be found here.  I have heard his earlier music and it was all very good, but I think this might be his best yet!
At this point, I have to apologize to Mumy.  In the interview below, I lead off with a badly-worded question.  I had read that Mumy was the first choice to play Eddie Munster and I wanted to ask him how that played out.  Instead, I started with the question and it just seemed like I was trying to incite controversy (especially since Butch Patrick was only a booth away).  So, if Bill Mumy reads this, I apologize for the way that question came out.
Fortunately, Mumy showed no signs of irritation.  He is a class act all the way.  He even gave us an excellent impression of Lost in Space castmate and long-time friend Jonathan Harris.
After you watch the interview, please check out BillMumy.com and Mumy's Facebook page to learn all about him and to get updates. Also, be sure to check out "Until the Big Bang Whimpers".
I would like to thank Mumy for his time and consideration.  He had a long line all weekend at the convention, yet he still took a few minutes to talk to us.  We appreciate it greatly.
