On the Beat with Jim Calafiore at Wizard World 2013

Jim Calafiore is a comic book artist who has worked for Marvel, DC and other comic companies.  One of his biggest runs was Aquaman with Peter David.  Aquaman?!!!  I am hooked already.
Calafiore did admit that the Hulk is his favorite (what, not Aquaman?!).  Despite that admission, I was still hooked on Calafiore's work.
Currently, Calafiore is working on Leaving Megalopolis.  On the Kickstarter Leaving Megalopolis page, it states, "When the caped heroes of the world's safest city inexplicably all turn into homicidal lunatics, no one is safe."  That is very intriguing.  Heroes turning to maniacs?  Where could this lead?  Okay, now I am really hooked.  (Maybe Aquaman saves the day...well, doubtful).  Seriously, this sounds like a cool story.  I am planning on getting a copy of this one and hopefully will get Calafiore to sign it at a future convention.
Calafiore has done some awesome artwork.  On his site, you can see a lot of his work.  There are detailed black-and-white creations, as well as full color and also some single (or two color) pieces which were really interesting.  In fact, it was his Aquaman artistry which caught our eye at Wizard World.
For more information and to get updates on him and Leaving Megalopolis, go to JimCalafiore.com.  Feel free to say Johngy sent you and to ask for more Aquaman.
