I met "Hardcore" Heather Owens at Resistance Pro wrestling. I might have previously seen her at Days of the Dead though. On second thought, even if I did "see" her at Days, she was probably a blur. Heather is one of the several fantastic people who help make Days an awesome con.
I have gotten an interesting look at Heather. First, I have seen her put on entertaining wrestling matches. Her "hardcore" nickname is well-earned, although she can put on a technical match, as well.
I have also seen her as a tireless worker at the Days events. I have been involved in enough cons to know just how much work they are. Fans show up at con time and are ready for a fun time. The on-site staffers have already been there for hours (or perhaps even days) making sure that the event will run smoothly. Believe me, few events run as smoothly as Days does. That is a credit to people like Heather.
I have also seen Heather as a fan. She works as hard as anyone at these cons, but she also squeezes in time to meet her favorites. It is fun seeing her actually have fun at these events, instead of non-stop work. (That is a credit to Adolfo, who treats his staff well).
It might sound cliche, but Heather is just a cool person. I am looking forward to the upcoming Days of the Dead on November 20-22 and to seeing Heather.
