Thanks to #SuperFriend David Herro, I finally met the lovely Velvet Sky. I had several close calls with Velvet (or should that be "without Velvet"?), including a comic con in New York when I met her Beautiful People partner Angelina Love but missed Velvet by minutes.
This all changed a few months ago, when Herro hosted a SuperFriends Fan Fest. When I saw Velvet was appearing and that it was in Milwaukee, I put it on my calendar.
Velvet was one of the most popular wrestling stars at the Fan Fest, but she gave everyone a few minutes of her time and made everyone happy. As I always note, it is hard for the celebs to really spend time with every fan. It is usually the little extra niceties that they do which are remembered.
I thanked Velvet for doing a promo for my site (see left column) and she mentioned that she loved my shirt.
It would be very easy for Velvet to be stuck up, but she was very friendly and chatty at the event. It was a pleasure finally meeting her.
Thanks again to Herro. The Wisconsin promoter once again came through with a great event, filled with awesome stars.
