Celebrity Jersey Cards #330 Itzhak Perlman & Glenn Close

This is a weekly series in which I create virtual trading cards for celebrities wearing sports jerseys.  Today, we continue working our way alphabetically through MLB teams.

Violinist and conductor Itzhak Perlman was born in Tel Aviv (then British Mandate of Palestine, now Israel).  Perlman now resides in New York.  Perlman showed his hometown pride by donning the Mets jersey, while performing the National Anthem.  I am guessing his #70 was for his age then and not as an homage to Wilfredo Tovar, but I could be wrong.  Either way, it is the first appearance of a voilin on a Celebrity Jersey Card!
Born in Greenwich, CT, Glenn Close has made her mark as a singer, actress, producer and more.  She has sung the National Anthem at Citi Field multiple times.  Her Celebrity Jersey Card featurs one of her performances.  Her connection to #94 is uncertain.  No player for the Mets has ever worn #94, but Close wore it well.
