Friendly Encounters is a weekly series featuring friends who have met celebrities.
Today, we feature Chris Bejcek, but surprisingly, he isn't pictured with any of the Chicago Bandits. A cornerstone of Bandit Nation, Chris is also a big fan and friend of musician Bruce Hornsby.
Recently, Chris attended his 75th Hornsby concert. That's an impressive number. I haven't even attended that many total concerts. Over the years, Chris has even become friends with Hornsby. I can only imagine how cool and special that would be. I would love to meet my guy Billy Joel some day.
When he is not attending Hornsby concerts or hanging with him, Chris can usually be found at the Ballpark in Rosemont, cheering for the back-to-back reigning National Pro Fastpitch champion Bandits. Chris is one of several people very active on Facebook as part of Bandit Nation. I respect his passion for the team and I appreciate his support of Johngy's Beat.
Maybe one day, he can get Hornsby to stop by the Ballpark. Until then, we are just happy to have Chris there! It's fans like him that make the experience with the Bandits so great.
