Jack Keenan has been immensely helpful at conventions over the years as a photographer/videographer. He rarely gets pictures with the celebrities, but when there is one he wants, I do my best to make sure it happens.
At last year's Days of the Dead Chicago, as we were finishing our work on the last day, Jack spotted Joey Lauren Adams and mentioned he was a fan. Of course, we stopped at her table and chatted a bit and got the picture.
Since making her film debut in 1977's Exorcist II: The Heretic, Adams has carved out a nice acting career. Some of her more popular films are Chasing Amy, Dazed and Confused and Mallrats.
Adams was very nice and we talked for several minutes. She took extra care to make the picture a good one and checked it after we took it. That little bit of attention means a lot when meeting celebrities. It shows she cares and wants the encounter to be special.
