Marina Mabrey was a star on the basketball courts at Notre Dame.She was selected in the second round (19th pick overall) by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2019 WNBA draft. After one season with the Sparks, Mabrey was traded to the Dallas Wings.
For her career, in two seasons in the WNBA, Mabrey has played 50 games, starting 12. She has averaged 6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
Recently, Mabrey was kind enough to send a shout out to Johngy's Beat. I always enjoyed talking to Mabrey in media sessions last season. She was always up for answering questions about the game, the season and other topics, too. She was a great sport and I appreciated her time and consideration.
