Ryan Ottley at C2E2 2017

I am excited about the return of C2E2 December 10-12. I look forward to seeing interesting celebrities and creators. Illustrator Ryan Ottley has had a successful and interesting career.

He is probably best known for his work on Invincible, written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image comics. Ottley was discovered by Kirkman in an online forum in 2003. Kirkman offered him the job of illustrating Invincible Issue 8. Since then, Ottley has worked on the series as the artist for 127 issues of the 144 issue run.

Ottley has done plenty of other work, too. He has done inside art for Spider-Man and The Walking Dead among others, as well as cover art for Justice League, The Flash and others. He has also been an artist and contributing creator of INVINCIBLE, an animated series on Amazon Prime.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ottley at C2E2 a few years ago. I was amazed at the variety of his work. I hope to see him again at a future con.
