Celebrity Jersey Cards is a weekly series in which I create virtual trading cards for celebrities wearing sports jerseys. Today, I continue my season-long alphabetical journey through all Major League Baseball teams.
Actor Steven Bauer was born in Cuba. Perhaps best known for his role in Scarface, Bauer has carved out an excellent 45 years in show business. Bauer also co-starred in Running Scared, one of my favorite movies ever. He earned his Celebrity Jersey Card tossing a ceremonial pitch for the Florida Marlins, the team closest to his home land.
New York native Christian Slater started acting at an early age. One of his first roles was on tv's One Life to Life when he was eight. One of his early movie roles was in Heathers, another of my favorites. Slater has won many awards, including a Golden Globe award, but he also won a Celebrity Jersey Card for his ceremonial mound appearance for the Marlins.
