I have featured my friend author Michael West several times. I call him a celeb himself, but he is too humble to accept that title. He's a fantastic author. Whether sort story, full novel, book series or anything else, Michael delivers a lot of entertainment, usually in the horror field.
I meet hundreds of authors at conventions and other events. Most are very talented, but there are a few elite ones. Michael is in that category. Seeral of his books line my bookshelf.
Aside from his writing, another thing I like about Michael is he isn't aboe expressing his excitement for meeting his favorite celebrities. Such was the case when Michael met actress Catherine Tate. Perhaps best known for her work on Doctor Who, Tate has a lengthy and impressive resume. She is a very popular guest at comic cons, which is where Michael met her.
My point today is twofold. First and always, I like promoting talented folks like Michael. Once you read any of his works, you will be hooked. Second, if you like a celeb, don't be shy about meeting them and being happy about it. There's no shame in it. Comic cons are a huge business. Yes, you do have to pay to meet celebs there (unless you have a press pass), but like I just wrote, it is a business. It's a great experience though. I have met so many celebrities and have had so many memorable moments. I also have met and gotten to know great folks like Michael.
