When I first started covering the Legends Football League Chicago Bliss, I met a few of the team at a sports convention. quarterback-safety Heather Furr was one of the four. That first interview is at On the Beat With Heather Furr 2014.
Like a lit of the events I cover, I had no idea how much I would end up enjoying the experience. I covered the Bliss for several years.
At the time of that first interview, I had not seen the team in action. Once I did, I saw the team was much more than beautiful women in skimpy uniforms. It all started with Heather.
She was as tough as could be. Not to take anything away from her athleticism, but her play exceeded her abilities. She made things happen. She was a real leader.
Flash forward many years, Heather is now in the real estate business. On the Johngy OR Else Podcast, Tommy Else and I interviewed Heather. That interview is at On the Beat With Heather Furr 2022.
Doesn't Heather look the same? I bet she could still lead a team to a touchdown. Winners don't lose that quality.
I am so happy I was able to do this update interview. I was able to publicly thank Heather for all she did. She was always up for an interview and always gave great answers.
