Friend Encounters: Billy Zane and Michael Kingston

Friend Encounters is a weekly series featuring friends who have met celebrities.

I have featured Michael Kingston several times over the years. My first interview with Michael can be found at On the Beat With Michael Kingston. That was at Wizard World in 2013. Sinc ethen, I have seen Michael achieve even more success with his work.
Michael's Headlocked Comic is a wrestling comic about wrestling. Unlike other wrestling comics, Headlocked is highly entertaining, while staying more realistic than other wrestling comics. It was his vision from the start and it has come to fruition. It's not just me saying that either. A legion of wrestlers past and present have jumped on the Headlocked bandwagon, including cover artist Jerry "The King" Lawler.
Michael is as hard-working as he is talented, though. With the exception of a break due to the pandemic, Michael has been busy for years on the convention circuit. Michael always has time for chatting at these cons though. It's always great seeing him and not just because he is usually accompanied by famous wrestlers.
At one of those conventions, Michael met Billy Zane. After meeting Zane, Michael said, "So Billy Zane is just as cool as you’d think he’d be." Zane is cool and so is Michael. He deserves all the success he has.
