Celeb Jersey Cards #101 Joe Montana & Steve Young

This is a regular series which attempts to combine my passion for bubblegum cards with my interest in celebrities.  How about a little Hall of Fame quarterback symmetry today?

Joe Montana lead the San Francisco 49ers to four Super Bowl victories, while winning three Super Bowl MVP awards.  He was also a two-time AP MVP.  He was born in Pennsylvania, went to Notre Dame and finished his career in Kansas City.  So what is up with the Seattle Mariners jersey?  Who am I to question Joe Montana though?  Anyway, it is good enough to land Montana on his first Celebrity Jersey Card.

Joe Montana was followed in SF by Steve Young, who lead the team to two Super Bowl victories (and had a third as Montana's backup).  Young was a two time AP MVP and a Super Bowl MVP.  Unlike Montana, Young stayed true to his SF days by wearing a Giants jersey.  As an added bonus, we have Jerry Rice (who has his own Celebrity Jersey Card) as a lurker!

On the other hand Montana is throwing the ball and doesn't look pregnant.
