On the Beat with Craig Biggio of the Houston Astros

Thanks to the hospitality of Steve Grande (Media Relations Manager) and the Houston Astros organization, I had on field access to players and coaches at Minute Maid Park about a month ago.  As usual, Contributor Extraordinaire Matt Parker was also there.  We had a very successful time and the entire piece can be found at Travel Favorites of Baseball Greats one of my recent online contributions for Global Travelermagazine.
We would have had a hard time starting out any better than we did when Matt landed future Hall of Famer Craig Biggio.  Biggio revealed his favorite cities to visit while playing, along with his favorite dining spot.
An endorsement from a Hall of Famer like Biggio must be pretty cool.  Then again, tanding on the field talking to Biggio is pretty cool in itself.  Stay tuned over the next few weeks, as I present the rest of the interviews from our time on the field (and in the dugout) at Minute Maid Park.
Before I end this piece with the video interview, I would like to state how much I enjoy Minute Maid Park.  Sure, talking to Biggio is awesome, but everything about the Houston Astros and Minute Maid Park has always been first class.  I have been to over 25 stadiums as a fan and about 10 as press and nobody treated me better in either role.
Thanks again to Steve Grande, the Houston Astros, Global Traveler and Matt Parker.
