Thinking About Andrea Evans

Andrea Evans was probably my first major celebrity crush.  I saw her on tv's One Life to Live and immediately I was hooked.
Andrea came and left OLTL several times between 1979 and 2011 (when the show was taken off the air).  She also appeared in a few other shows and a handful of movies and plays.  One such play was The Vagina Monologues (and yes, I was in attendance).  Andrea also has been very active with the Walk for Hope.
I met Andrea many times and I had the pleasure of working with her for her appearance in Lerner's literacy ad series (which I ran).  Twenty plus years after spotting her on tv, there she was in my ad series.  Talk about surreal.
Andrea has always been very kind to me and patient with me.  I might have asked for a few too many pictures over the years, but Andrea always obliged.  When you meet one of your all-time favorites, you always want another photo, even if you have several from previous times.
Andrea has always been just a complete sweetheart and has given me several great memories.  Meeting your favorites is always cool, but when they turn out to be completely sweet people it is just a fantastic experience.  When you develop a bit of a friendship, it just makes it wonderful.
I have not seen Andrea in years.  I would love to see her again, but I always have the great memories of our previous times (see, glad I got those pictures).
