On the Beat with Joel Murray at the Northwest Side Irish Parade

Thanks to my association with Resistance Pro and thanks to Liz Belcaster for the invitation, I spent a fun day at the 2014 Northwest Side Irish Parade.  Among the highlights was meeting Joel Murray.
Chicago area native Murray is the youngest of the acting Murray brothers and appeared with all of them in Scrooged.  Murray has been in the business for over 28 years.  His credits include Shakes the Clown, God Bless America, tv's Mad Men and Dharma and Greg, as well as providing the voice of Chester the Cheetah.
As would be expected, Murray was in high demand at the parade after-party.  Fortunately, I had an angel on my side in the form of Liz Belcaster who made sure I got my time with Murray.  How she remembered to put me together with Murray during the hustle and bustle of the day is beyond me, but I greatly appreciate her gesture!
As for Murray, he could not have been nicer.  Despite being pulled in many directions, Murray took time from the party to answer my questions.  He is another of those who I could interview for an hour.  He has so much personality and has done so much.  Still, I limited myself to a handful of questions.
I was pleasantly surprised when Murray voiced a little Chester the Cheetah in the interview.  It is unusual but very cool, that he did this.  It's like getting actors to reproduce their favorite lines.  It just doesn't happen much, especially for voice actors.
I really enjoyed talking to Murray.  I had a fantastic time and the Northwest Side Irish Parade.  Thanks again to all involved, but especially Liz Belcaster!
