On the Beat with Zoe Trocious of the Windy City Rollers

The last interview we got at our night with the Windy City Rollers was with Zoe Trocious of the Manic Attackers.  You could call her a bookworm and you would not be wrong, but she is much more than just a bookworm.  She is a fiery competitor.  She packs a lot of energy and strength in her small frame.  Like her derby mates, she is very outgoing and interesting.  Check out the interview below to learn more about her, including a book suggestion.
The structure of WCR is a bit confusing to the newcomer.  There are four teams: The Fury, Manic Attackers, Double Crossers and Hell's Belles.  They compete against each other at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.
There is also the Haymarket Rioters, who are the farm system for WCR.  Skaters are coached by derby veterans.  The goal is to get these women up to the competitive level of the WCR.
Finally, there are travel teams.  The Windy City All-Stars, the Second Wind and the Third Coast comprise the travel teams.  The All-Stars are nationally ranked by the WFTDA (World Flat Track Derby Association).
If you are still confused (and even if you are not), the best thing to do is check out WindyCityRollers.com or see them in action!  I have no doubt you will enjoy WCR action as much as we do!
