Our coverage of Culture Shock continues with a look at Jon Schnepp, whose website lists him as a "Director-Producer." That's correct, but that's not all he does. Schnepp is a producer, director, writer, voice actor, editor, cartoonist, animator, cinematographer and most likely other things. If that isn't enough, he also runs Schneppzone, his company for tv shows and short films.
I was intrigued by the promo at his booth for The Death of “Superman Lives”: What Happened?, a feature length documentary about the unmade movie "Superman Lives." With Tim Burton as the Director and Nicholas Cage as Superman, this would have been an instant classic. Schnepps is passionate about delving into the facts and mysteries about this non-movie.
I can't remember if I have ever heard of that Superman movie. It sounds familiar. It sounds fascinating. Now I want to know what happened. Luckily, now we will will be able to get some answers, thanks to Schnepp.
Of course, the Superman project is only part of Schnepp's resume. He has done and continues to do a ton of other stuff. The man is busy, but he squeezed in an appearance at Culture Shock, the place for so many great guests like Schnepp.
You can learn more about Schnepp, including all of his updates at JonSchnepp.com, the Jon Schnepp Facebook page or Jon Schnepp's twitter page. Also, keep an eye out for The Death of “Superman Lives”: What Happened? I know I will.
Jon Schnepp and me in Indianapolis, IN-February 2015.
