Friendly Encounters is a weekly series about friends who have met celebrities.
Irwin "Shifty" Shiffman is quite a character. He is said to be the longest tenured member of the Chicago Bandits organization. When the team was formed, Shifty was there and he is at most every game.
He is part of the great customer relations of the Bandits. He can often be seen helping people, chatting with fans and doing anything he can to make the Bandits experience a great one.
Emily Allard is one of the outfielders on the Bandits. The second year pro batted .294 last season in helping the Bandits win the NPF (National Pro Fastpitch) title. On a team of popular women, Emily is one of the most popular. The young fans especially love her.
Shifty took the opportunity to get dressed up and pose with Emily at the Bandits Awards banquet and Johngy's Beat was there to capture the moment. Looking good Shifty. Of course, anyone would look good with a beautiful, athletic woman by your side.
This was just another in a ton of great memories from the 2015 season. I am already looking forward to 2016.
